Seonmi Park 박선미

About

I am a Ph.D. candidate in AI Convergence at GIST, advised by Prof. Hae-Gon Jeon in the Visual AI Lab. My research focuses on generative models for visual text, including handwriting generation, robotic calligraphy, and kinetic typography.

My recent work explores diffusion models and differentiable physical rendering to connect digital generation with real-world writing.

I was a research intern in the BIG Lab at the Robotics Institute, Carnegie Mellon University, where I was advised by Prof. Jean Oh on robotic calligraphy and handwriting generation.

• 2026 Jun Our paper OnOff: Bridging Online and Offline Handwriting via Differentiable Physical Rendering was accepted to ECCV 2026.
